CA DUI for Minors Under 21

California defines DUI for Minors under 21 as an infraction, even if blood alcohol levels are below 0.08 percent. Any higher BAC levels are subject to misdemeanor penalties. California also has a zero tolerance policy for drinking and driving, and in addition to the penalties outlined below, any level of alcohol intoxication subjects offenders to an automatic suspension of driver’s license for one year.
